Qatar Airways Cabin Crew Recruitment
Buenos Aires - Argentina 28 / 29 / 30 - MAY 2004

This is how it went:
1- Presentation and Introduction to Qatar Airways
2- Cabin Crew Strcuture & Job specifications
3- Employment & Salary Package *
4- Enlish Test
5- GAT 'General Ability Test' **
6- One-to-One Interview

3- Employment & Salary Package:

a) An open-ended 3-year renewable contract / 1 month notice period.
b) Accident Insurance Cover of QR 100.000 = USD 27.397 in case of death.
c) Initial 7 weeks Training in all Qatar Airways' Aircraft Types, you will be paid an extra of QR 300 / USD 82.20
d) Medical Coverage through Allianz International (Except for dental and optical).
e) Concessionary Travel: 30 days annual leave / 1 free confirmed annual ticket to your home country / 1 free confirmed annual ticket for a family member / Any amount of 90% reduced 'subject to availability' ticket / Any amount of 50% 'confirmed' ticket / also exist a variety of travel agreements with other airlines.
f) Free shared fully furnished accomodation (own bedroom)
g) Free transport between apt-airport-apt
h) End of service Benefit Scheme, you will be entitled to recieve a non-contributory End of Service Benefit, on the basis of 3 weeks basic salary for each year of service, after 3 year of continuous service with the company.
h) Salary Package: (QR 3.65 = 1 USD / QR 5.00 = 1 GBP)
"Basic Salary + Hour Flying pay" + Hotel / Meal Allowances
Hour Flying of QR 25 = USS 6.84 or QR 35 = USD 9.58 for Senior positions. There is an average of 65 Hours flown monthly which makes QR 1625 = USD 445.20; but of course you can fly more than 65 hrs/mo.

Cabin Senior Director: QR 5000 = USD 1369.86 + xxx = xxx

6- One-to-One Interview

Personal presentation (in most cases this takes place before all due exams and in front of all candidates in the room, but it all depends on the time scheduals, in this case 2 of the recruiters will be asking you questions about you, your family, your studies, etc), Job Experience, Job expectations, etc.
If you succeed... you'll be asked to move to Doha. If you don't you'll still be able to re-apply within 6 months.
