Hi all,
on my next trip to the US next week I will be going through Copenhagen (as SLF). Itīll be my very first time in Copenhagen; never been there before.
I will need to kill more than eight hours there (donīt ask... :*), so I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what to do, where to go, what to see.
I will be travelling on a Star Alliance ticket (Business class), are there any nice lounges where I can kill some time at?
Iīd be grateful for any tips and advice. Thanks in advance. :)

Won't take 8 hours but the Cafe Karen Blixen in the terminal makes great, if a bit expensive, coffee. It's well worth a try.

Take a taxi downtown.
Visit the Nyhavn area, where you can also get a canal ride in an open boat, which is quite nice.
Copenhagen is one of the nicest places in Europe. Have a look round.

Go to the Carlsberg factory and take the free tour and finish off by sampling their wares for free!
Take a cab to the Radhuspladsen (sp?) (Town Hall Square), visit Tivoli on one side (next to the Carlsberg museum also) and take a stroll down the Stroget (pedestrian shopping streets) on the opposite side.
It's a great city, but expensive to eat and drink. One of the best steaks in Europe is from the Hereford Beefstew backing on to Tivoli, which also has a micro-brewery next to it. Also try the marinated salmon (Gravilax) starter, melts in the mouth! Hmmm, I'm drooling...
For Euro 2000, they had giant screens in the square, with teriffic atmosphere too.
Nyhavn also recommended, but bit of a tourist trap and more expensive dining...

Fully agree re getting downtown, well worth a visit, and Danes are a very nice people. (That`s why we like them so much, about as nice as ourselves :ok: )
You asked about lounges, in the international terminal SAS has two, one for Business class passengers, and one for gold card holders. Free beer/wine and biccies/pastries. Diners club also has a lounge there, last time I was there (couple of years ago) they had free sandwiches too.
But do sample some of the restaurants at the airport if you spare the time.
