Hi LowNSlow,
In Kazahkstan every return to stand after entering the runway is an "incident", local aviation ministry guy is a dead ringer for "Blakey" (On the Buses).
Air Astana are part owned by BAE and well run, worry not.

LowNSlow,

The aircraft in question showed warning indications on one engine which was shut down as a precaution, a/c returned for a safe landing.

Naturally, the local press have been to the Sun/Mirror school of reporting and blew it all out of proportion.

Terrible. Surely that's the pilot's job when he's down the pub later. ;)

My previous post seems to have disappeared so I'll just repeat this bit.

Thanks for the info and reassurances all.
