View Full Version : Getting hired in Far East with no jet experience?

Seems to me that every company I have researched in the Far and Middle East requires a type rating on a heavy jet (A320 seems most popular) and time on type...is this just what they ask for, or are there still many guys in the market with this type of experience?

Any ideas on who would be interested in a non-type rated (jets, anyway) Canadian with the following:

Canadian ATPL
3700 TT
2000 Turbine

Types, BE-20, DHC-7

Thanks!:ok:

Dragonair want 100 guys a year for the next 6 years...apparently. They certainly are hiring in an ongoing way...and don't require a type rating. Having said that they will give preference to people who are, but have hired lots of younger guys off Dash 8s from Sunstate Airlines in Australia.

They pay well.

Chuck.

PS The above info is cosher, I have lots of mates there.

Minimums are 4000, if you have experience on the A320,321,330 then they may hire you for less. They are hiring their own people for less hours.
