Well, that time of year is coming again!
La Asociación Latinoamericana de Aeronáutica will be having it's annual ALA-Miami convention on June 14, 15 and 16 at the Radisson Mart Plaza Hotel y Convention Center in Miami, Florida. Again this year, I won't be able to go ( :{ ), however, I did a few years ago and found it to be very worthwhile.
In the past they used to hold it at one of the Miami Beach hotels, but this year they moved it inland near the airport (so the bonus is free shuttle service if you are flying in). They have special hotel rates for those who participate.
They have a number of optional (additional cost) seminars (one or two day courses) and conferences (one hour presentations), product exhibutions and static displays of aircraft that are included in the relatively inexpensive attendance fee-- something like $25 or $35USD.
Spanish, Portuguese and English are widely spoken and translation services are provided. It is a fantastic opportunity to meet colleagues throughout the Americas and provides ample opportunities to network, meet vendors and prospective customers.
