G'day,

Anyone know where I might be able to private hire a 206 or 210 in NSW? Would prefer somewhere close to Goulburn but willing to travel...

Thanks.

(btw I have about 800hrs TT if there are hours requirements)

Yeah, there is one at Wedderburn.

It is a C-210A (don't fly an A model of anything?)

chieftain flying school on bankstown airport has a C210M for hire... they did at least 5 months ago...
then graham boatman in stawell, victoria, has a nice C206 with robinson stol kit...

After leaving instructing in sydney and before heading up north with nil hours I did 2 hours in a 210 from chieftain flying school. That was back in 2000, and it wasn't cheap but when I got to Air _gukurr in the NT It enabled me to say that I had "210 time" and got me a job. Well worth while.

Ahh yes!!

210's are a pretty fun machine and wouldnt go astray if you could get a couple of hours in one. I think the one at BK goes for about $250 an hour

Squiddy,

You will find that Chieftain will require you to do a few hrs on type before letting you loose solo. (They quote 5, but with 800hrs you should be able to talk them into less than that). The dual rate is quite expensive, up around the $300 mark.

I can get my hands on one (C210L, essentially the same model) a fair bit cheaper if you want to PM me for details. The owner requires 5hrs dual before u can take it solo, but once again, this can be negotiated.

Cheers,
