G'day All,

I have a Garmin 295 GPS.
I have a serial cable to connect the GPS to the home computer and have previously updated the database and operating software. These updates of course come with their own installers and are straight forward.

I would like to download flights stored in the memory. Does anybody know where the software to do the job may be found, and the capabilities of said software. Will it just print out a list of waypoints or can I print out the actual track etc.

Thanks in advance.

Regards, Two Dogs.

Give Not_Another_Pot a PM. He's a bit of a computer/GPS/Gadget wiz.

Have a look at OziExplorer

http://www.oziexplorer.com/

I use it with my Garmin 196, and I obtained a bunch of maps (VTC, VNC, ERC) for it from www.maptrax.com.au (http://www.maptrax.com.au)

Works rather nicely - give it a go (you can get a free trial of oziexplorer)

(I have no association with either companies, apart from being a happy customer)

Ozie will do what you want though I have found some errors in the map lat & longs.

I use Sensis, which is the Garmin Mapsource. This goes down to street level and is accurate as hell, not much detail on the the land but the towns and roads are great, it even has pubs and addresses. Major problem is that it's produced my Tell**** so it costs about $400.00 for the cd:(

Just been playing with Flight Planner 3000 and I see that it will allow GPS / Palm interfaces.
