Pity that mailine F/O's are no longer able to transfer to Australian on upgrade.

Sapporo is a top spot however - hopefully it is promoted properly this time

ftrplt,

The AO CP has decided that they will only promote to command internally or take DE captains in the future.

This is good for exisiting AO F/O's and for any other B767 F/O willing to transfer, bu not so good for the rest of mainline F/O's not presently on the B767.

The AO CP recruits based on who applies!

If there are enough 767 CAPTS who apply to AO, then he will take them (why wouldnt he, saves training costs & quicker)

If there arent enough CAPTS apply then he will train FO's - he will balance that between existing AO FO's and QF FO's.

Considering there are at least 8 CAPTS (that I can think of) who have started at AO on promotion from Mainline FO in the last 6 months then I fail to see how you arrived at you position.

The recent recruitment was for FO's to fill short notice vacancies (Dragonair)

Did he tell you this or is it just your typical trait of seeing fire where there is smoke?

Is this then likely to be a huge plus for the current AO F/O's ?
