Apparently we were 2 seconds from a massive Nuclear disaster in the Midlands! A fuel laden Chinook tearing by at 150 mph, JUST missed a nuclear power plant by 80 feet!

Story here (http://icbirmingham.icnetwork.co.uk/0100news/0100localnews/tm_objectid=14246076&method=full&siteid=50002&headline=two-seconds-from-nuclear-disaster-name_page.html)

Last week, the MoD lodged details of the no-fly zone infringements within the House of Commons Library - but made no official statement about the helicopter near-miss.

So, no more low flying in the Library then...:{

The witness (she) later stated that she had seen a high flying jet trailing smoke...

'It was obviously on fire', she told her MP and local anti-nuclear activists. 'We were lucky it didn't crash on the sight - the ensuing fireball would have spread radioactive fallout far and wide. It would have been Western Europe's Chernobyl...'

The local MP is to table questions in the House in an attempt to initiate an major emergency debate on airline safety. 'We can't have airliners that catch fire flying over UK nuclear installations'.

When asked if the jet could have been contrailing, the MP stated categorically that the witness was reliable and if she said it was on fire, then that was good enough for him.
