The aforementioned was split into three and removed by road this week. Does anyone know there destination as allthough the airframe was in use by the fire boys it was not for destruction. That said it looked to be in poor condition.

Most of the scrap airframes from Southend sometimes go to Hanningfield Metals at Stock. I know in the past they have had several ex BAF Viscounts, a Shorts 330 and the Hold Trade Air BAC 1-11 5N-HTC amongst others.

So sad to hear of this movement, especially as I was very much involved in VC8 operations in the 80's. Sound of the RR Dart engines very distinctive. Does anyone know the regn of the airframe that was moved. I recall G-AOHL being flown in but never out during 1980/81, was this the one ?

Jeez....if I had even 50p for every time I have dispatched this aircraft, I would not be penniless like wot I am today.!
