I love my job, I love the pay,
I love it more and more each day.
I love my boss, she is the best,
I love her boss and all the rest.

I love my office and its location,
I hate to have to take vacation,
I love my furniture drab and grey
And piles of work that grow each day.

I think my job is really swell,
There's nothing else I love so well.
I love to work among my peers
And listen to their jeers and sneers.

I love my computer and its software,
I hug it often though it don't care.
I love each programme, every file,
The way it crashes - major style.

I'm happy to be here, I am, I am,
I'm the happiest slave at work, I am.
I love this job, I love these chores,
The frequent meetings with deadly bores.

I love my job, I'll say it again,
I even love those friendly men.
Those friendly men who came today,
In clean, white coats to take me away.

All the same though;

Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees
And begged you not to leave
Because I'd go berserk?
Well. . .

You left me anyhow
And then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I've gone
Completely out of my mind
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

..and then;

You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I had said
That losing you would make me flip my lid
Right. . .

You know you laughed, I heard you laugh
You laughed, you laughed and laughed
And then you left
But now you know I'm utterly mad!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile
A nd twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa

Ding : If you are talking about this ‘song’ then you have good taste :D . This was IMHO the ‘’Mother’ of all Rap. Its got rhythm, beat, lyrics from a twisted/ tortured soul with ‘stuff all’ music. My kids did not believe such a song existed until I tracked down the lyrics for them. I shall then dedicate the last part of this ‘masterpiece’ to you.
If you aren’t talking about this one, then I’ll dedicate it to you anyway :D :D Ha Haaa!

CJ old mate … err, yes it is! :D

And to top it off ….

I cooked your food
I cleaned your house
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind, unselfish loving deeds?!!
Hah. . .

Well you just wait
They'll find you yet
And when they do they'll
Put you in the RSPCA, you mangy mutt!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm

Not by Dr. Demento. I think the original author was called Napoleon XIV or something like that. The song appears on a couple of Dr. Demento's albums as one of his favourites. Mine from his albums are "The Cockroach That Ate Cincinatti" and Doodles Weaver's version of "Eleanor Rigby" - hilarious!
