Dust off the plan......the firemen may be back at it

Why do we get stuck with this sort of  ?

The Government should either sack and replace the strikers, or give them the money! Having the armed forces in their back pocket simply allows them to avoid making this sort of decision.

Bet any strike is timed for Christmas again!

I'm still amazed that the Forces are expected to cover the job of the striking fire-fighters, as well as maintaining their current specialist skills whilst being paid, in the large majority, less money!
Whilst on strike perhaps the fire-fighters could be issued some body armour and asked if they'd like to have a go at patrolling the streets of Basra?!

The fire fighters have a RIGHT to strike if they so wish and providing they jump through the many hoops required of them first.

That fact that HM Forces get involved is purely a ministerial decision and if you don't like it I suggest you do what I did and leave!! Everyone has choices and alternatives!! You get paid to do as you are told!!

Whilst I didn't support the Firemen in their endeavours last time, this time I do. Too many people in Government (all levels) lie and cheat!! The Firemen are dealing with people like my own council leader, who has been imprisoned for corruption and fraud but is still running my City Council from his comfy cell until appeal!!!

Increasingly, ordinary people are tiring of the clapped out spin and deceit. Just watch how the far right will do come June!!

I suspect however, that ultimately the FBU will not get a mandate for further strike action.
