Looks like some interesting ships are available for sale, reckon Drapes would throw some money at some of these if he won the lottery... (check out the photos on each one!)

Anyone want to club together? I rather like the aircraft carrier myself. Imagine having a Pprune fly-in bash on that?!?! :E

Hmmm that scrap cargo ship looks promising,doesn't say whether its a proper ship or one of those floatintin box container ships, one fancies a ship to live on, one could live in the captins cabin and pace the bridge in the evening with white muffler and binococulars round me neck,one means looky thru binocs, not the prooner of the same name.
:rolleyes:

Maybe we could park some of these on the aircraft carrier and start our own Newcastle navy with Mr Draper as Admiral of the Fleet

The cruise liner would make a nice little run-around in the Med!! :O

Anyone know the aircraft carrier's history? Was built in the UK.

That orange Greek person is currently buying used cruise vessels for his new venture, starting in the Med next summer.

If he hears of this all your bids will be sunk!:}

Eal401 - I think the aircraft carrier may be HMS Vengeance, a Collosus class carrier built in 1944, finished its carear with the Brazilian navy in 2001 when they got a new one.

There is a group trying to raise money to buy the ship and turn it into a floating museum, their website is here
