Mpeg and AVI Folder Thumbnails Gone ?

Anyone know how to restore thumbnails for Mpeg type files in folder listings .....

They show for 'windows media/video' type files but not for Movie Files (Mpeg) or AVI types ?????????????

Have tried resetting folder defaults etc

(Real Player was 'assigned' to these types but I 're-asigned' them to MS Media Player to which they open with.

Which OS are you using? (In winXP you can just change the folder to show Thumbnails.)

I am using XP, but when I change the folder options to show Thumbnails Mpegs or AVI's don't show only Movie Type Mpegs ..... it used to show them all !!!

That is usually fixed by setting the associations for the files. (Try changing associations again.)
