Can anyone tell me how much fuel a Qantas 747 needs to fly the whole trip from Sydney to LHR, including a stop off in SIN or BBK Singapore?
Any details on how much fuel is burnt on take-off, and how much food and drink taken on board for total flight be great.
Been look for figures everywhere, but no joy so far.
Cheers!

I don't think I'm being quite as specific as you might want, but I believe the fuel burn for the B744 is around the 10tonne/hour mark. Variations will obviously depend on power setting, ISA deviation, cruising level, and to some degree the gross weight, I suspect, but perhaps this query is best posed to those who drive them.

The flying time on the sector you've specified will obviously vary with winds, holding, approaches/sids flown, etc.

Thanks very much! About 220 tonnes was the rough estimate I had. Unfortunately haven't been able to track down too many people who fly them. Cheers.
