Hi everybody...

I'm a french "pilote-inspecteur" flying in France for the DGAC, the equivalent of your CAA...

I'm actually working on a written guide for PPL(A) examiners.
The first part of our work, my colleagues and I can be uploaded on the DGAC site (http://www.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/html/avia_leg/pdf/guide_examin_licence.pdf) if you want to have a look.

The second part will describe the items of the PPL practical exam, and should be on the site soon...

So, here is my request :have you got such a guide in UK... Or anywhere else in other JAA countries... And where could I find it ?... :O

Thanks for your replies and enjoy your flights...
:ok:

There are some useful docs here:

http://www.caa.co.uk/publications/publications.asp?cattype=sercat&id=22

Doc 19 is useful

There is also a 'Flight Examiners Handbook' issued to UK examiners - I guess you could get one from the UK CAA - it's not on the web.

There is a JAA Flight Examiners Handbook here:

http://www.jaa.nl/licensing/flight_examiners_manual.html

Cool... Many thanks...

I already knew the FEM from the JAA... But the exercices are not exactly the ones asked today on a PPL test... Maybe on day but it seems that no JAA country is using it actually (and most probably none will).

But the first guide you've indicated to me is great, and will probably be useful. ;)

May I ask you a few things about two or three exercices which are new for us in France ?
