Not that I know how to create polls but anyway :

If you were 34, had circa 50K capital of your own, no currrent job, no real future prospects, no family and with an inkling to fly commercially what would you do ?

Oh background of RAF Flying Scholarship//PPL and ex-UAS and willing to work on the moon if needs be as long as there is a bar there with atmosphere. Quite like helos but looks like that market is v.gloomy to say the least before mentioning the costs.

All opinions/suggestions welcome.

Preeciate ya.

If you take a look through the pprune forums you'll see that things seem to be much rosier in the airline pilot job market, and now that BA have started recruiting again its more evidence that over the next few years there will be an expanding pool of vacancies to be filled for new pilots.Your age is a disadvantage, but there are plenty of over thirties being taken on by the airlines for initial First officer jobs, but if your going to do it,do it now!Choose a good school.Get references from ex students.Ask on this site for references once you've chosen a school, and happy flying!;)
