Anyone help me with this one?

New computer, windows XP home, and every time I logon to the internet I get a search page - never the homepage that I've set through the "internet options" window (via tools on the toolbar). I do know how to reset the homepage, but this computer just ain't having it.
Am I missing something blindingly obvious here?

WK - it would help if you said which 'search page' you are getting. There is a thread here about 'mywebsearch'?

Could be your ISP- BT Yahoo does that kind of thing if you install their software.

But it could be spyware/malware as mentioned before.

White Knight,

It sounds like you have some sort of Malware in your computer. The sticky above will tell you how to get rid of it.

White Knight,

Think of it as a learning experience. Now you know what to look for when you first start seeing the symptoms. ;)
