Hi,

Was thinking about doing some hour building in SA around July/August, could anyone tell me what the weather will be like, I know it will be winter there but are the conditions good enough to fly in (under VFR)?

Thanks

Toby

Winter on the highveld is clear, cloudless blue skies, reasonable density altitude and no chance of rain whatsoever. Minimal turbulence, plenty of local destinations for night stops and cheap rates make it a good bet.

You'll find the weather gets pretty cruddy on the coast in the winter though........

PM me before monday for more details. (Gotta play silly reggubs in the kangene after that.)

Go to Yahoo Weather (http://weather.yahoo.com/regional/SFXX.html) , pick the area you're going to be in, click on Records and Averages and walla. You have the an idea of what to expect in any given part of the country at a given time of the year.
