Run time error?

Recently, I seem to be getting a lot of 'Runtime error' notifications when linking to new sites - informing there's some error in a line.

It asks me if I wish to 'Debug'.
I've tried 'Yes' - and what follows means nothing to me.
If I choose 'No' the page then loads without any difficulty.

What causes this?
Can I stop it happening?
Is the problem in my computer, or in the site's programme?

'Disable script debugging' seems to have done the trick.
