How many virus instances have you found?

Was doing a bit of a virus clean-up on a client's PC the other day (the usual, oops-I-forgot-to-re-subscribe-to-Norton-and-I-have-a-virus-now-help!). Anyway, ran Stinger and it found 365+ copies of netsky and miscellaneous viruses.

Thought that was impressive until I had another one yesterday - this one had 4040 :eek: occurences of Netsky and pals! (needless to say the PC is a complete wreck and will probably need reformatting/reloading)

Is that a record or has someone seen worse?!

The record I found so far was over 8,000 infected files. The guy only said that he was having a problem that the computer would not shut down. After I found all the infected files, I started to ask him if he was have this problem or that problem, etc. he would say oh yeah, but I thought that was normal. :rolleyes:

Two weeks ago, the computer of one of my employee's daughters had over 4,600 but it still do not beat the record of the movie star I listed above.

(I told that actor he just had to give up all the porn, but after over 8,000 viruses and am afraid he just did not learn.) :rolleyes:

He doesn't have to give it up...just need to know where to get them and how. I heard a few hundred before but 4000 is a shock to me personally.
