Hi All,

Not sure if this is the right forum for this... but here goes....

Can anyone tell me if you are allowed to own a plane abroad, but have it based in the U.K. and on the G register? In other words, the owner is based in eg. France, but the plane is based and operated in the U.K. Will you be allowed to have the plane on the G-Reg and have it attached to an AOC?

Any comments will be appreciated.

Yes is the simple answer. I know of several cases of this, if you are a commonwealth citizen it's no problem. Otherwise it can get more complicated with trust companies etc (just like Europeans owning N reg a/c). Good luck!

We're all european nowadays, there are some practical implications, but nothing that would stop it working.
