Bits of information keep coming out. An injunction was served last night stating that the make shift terminal must not be used after 31 May 04. In addition it must be taken down by 30 June 04.

Confirmed Hudson Bay via the BBC lunch time national TV news. TUI lawyers expected to bang the entire removal enforcement of the terminal about in an atempt to keep it.

200,000 tickets have been sold.

For the full story on this and the rather volatile opinions, see the strand on Airports and Routes.

However the commonsense thing is that TUI have sunk too much money into the airport to bow to the NIMBY lot so will contest the orders to cease trading and tear down the terminal by going to the High Court. From reading the other forum it seems the council won't have much of a leg to stand on at that stage.

Sadly the only losers are the local ratepayers who will have to bear the costs of this, brought on by some publicity seeking local councillors.

CVT has always been busy with turboprops. Surely a 737 is a lot quieter than 40 year old Electra?

HighlandTight - you are right especially when you consider the turboprops are at night and the 737s are in the daytime.
