differences between CAA uk and FAAor icao medicals
urgent please
does any one know of differences in caa to faa or icao medicals
ie something like caa class 1 needs a ear test for for ir rating and faa does not
i am trying to compile a list so any differences would be gratefully received if fact any differences between caa uk medicals and any other icao country

thanks the more the merrier if you know the subsections please put down as it will save me time when checking

Don't think this is advertising, but if it is...sorry Mr Moderator!

I would highly recommend you talking to someone like the eminent Dr Ian Perry who does medicals for the JAA/FAA.

He'd probably be a good source of up to date info (especially if you're going to publish your results) - and he's a jolly fine Medical Examiner too!!

I have done both medicals and exact answers... dunno either.

CAA - strobe test for epilepsy I imagine
periferal vision
cardio vascular
hearing test

they are the only ones I remeber that were different.

Infact when I converted, from the FAA to CAA I didn;t have to do the strobe test. Dont ask me why but it was because I already had the FAA first class.
