I had some chili sauce a while ago called Insanity sauce.. .The blurb on the bottle claimed that it was good for stripping yacht varnish!. .. .Question is, where can I get it? The bit I tried disappeared after poisoning half our department.

I find that if you mix it with equal parts of garlic and lemon juice, Mr. Hovis, your guests will, at least, make it home unassisted. Beware hair and fibre, though.

It's Daves Insanity sauce. I got some in Tescos. I'm sure you know this but do wash your hands after touching the bottle I swear it permiates through the glass.

Not that the hottest sauce around, but I'm rather partial to the new hot ketchup from Heinz. Regular red sauce, but with Tobasco mixed in. . .. .Nice !

We have this scrummy range of chilli sauces here made by a mob called "The Chilli Man". Their ratings usually go up to 10, but their "Kangaroo Kick" is something like 10++ and it is not underrated and VERY good. Highly recommended to those who like clear sinuses!

Tasty little Malawian mindbender by name of Nali, sometimes to be found in South Africa. Wish I knew where, though........

Try this.... .http://www.hothothot.com/. .. .Typing "insanity" in the search box comes up with a few sauces.. .I think I have Dave's Total Insanity once. Evil orange looking stuff. Carrots and habaneros as I recall.

Where does Encona chilli sauce fit on your list, ORAC, I couldn't see it? Great with tortilla chips, or with bombay mix.

Too much Insanity sauce and you'll need baby wipes in the freezer

682,000 Scoville units...who comes up with these measurements..are they still alive. I would think just opening that bottle would create a biohazard area a few miles wide. Is there a Whmis label attached?. .. .Notice there's a big gap between 33,390 and 11,600 units? Just when you really want one rated at 23,500.. .. .I currently like the heat coded "Louisiana" range of pepper sauces in little bottles, Roasted Peppers, Chipotle Peppers, Habanero, Roasted Garlic, Jalapeno Peppers.. . . . [ 27 March 2002, 01:34: Message edited by: Rollingthunder ]

At the risk of sounding like a light-weight.....where does Nando's extra hot sauce fit in on that list.

Nandos comes somewhere near the lower quarter.

I was told that the Scotch Bonnet's were hottest and can attest to a mighty heat, but read recently that there was a new species in India that when simply broken open can raise tears in a room.

I am acquainted with a Tristan who likes Hot Sauce, but he is a bit of an afficionado and has a cupboard full of them from all over the world. He has got to the stage where I am surprised that he doesn't put it onto his cornflakes. I like hot and eat chillies raw but he outstrips me. :)
