View Full Version : Visible Contacts Limit in Outlook Express

Client is committed to Outlook Express 6 on an XP Pro laptop. Won't consider changing to Outlook at the moment. Likes to see his Contacts Pane open at bottom left of the main window but it has been empty for a long time even though his Address Book can be opened normally. His Address Book contains over 1900 addresses for his Identity alone! (There are three more Identities with fewer than 1000 addresses that display normally.)

The reason the Contacts Pane is empty is that it will only show up to 1000 contacts. Above 1000, it gives a message "There are no Contacts to Display".

This limit is, as far as I can determine, undocumented. I've searched the Web, Microsoft Technet and the Registry to see if there is a "tweak" I can use to increase the number that can be displayed. But can't find one.

This is neither life threatening nor mission-critical; but I'd be glad if some one could come up with an answer to keep him happy until I persuade him to change to Outlook.
