Jolly has provided an answer but I have a different one...any other takers? . .. .Oh..and AA SLF - re country music. Well, slightly long story, but last year I took my family on a round the world trip, which involved spending four days in Colorado Springs with friends, then taking 5 days to drive to Las Vegas via the Grand Canyon. The whole time my 16yo daughter wanted the radio on the country music stations (and let's face it, in that part of the US there ain't much choice!). That was a year ago, and I'm just starting to get over the shakes now!!!. .. .Also spent 5 days in Dallas last Spet, and then thanks to the attacks, had to drive from Dallas to Connecticut instead of flying. That took five days, and going via Tennessee etc had another load of country. So I'm still a little countried out right about now.. .. .However, I will admit that one of my favourite tunes (and one I hear often cause she has a CD with it on) is Travis Tritt and "What a Great Day to be Alive". Love it.. .. .Cheers all.. .. .Back after easter with Quiz 12. . . . . [ 26 March 2002, 22:06: Message edited by: scran ]

Sfly -two things.. .. .1. My information is that the first solo album by George Harrison was "All Things Must Pass". If that is wrong, don't blame me, blame Trivial Pursuit Baby Boomers Edition where I got the question from.. .2. Re the points issue and a winner. Thought about doing that. A couple of issues....I run the quizes from work, so can't access a web based e-mail , otherwise I'd have people e-mail me with there answers and allocated points. Alas, bets I came up with was to let people work out there own score.. .. .Now I put up the answers with who posted it first, so you can work out from that who gets how many points, and next time I'll look at putting a score list with it.. .. .For Kenny - OK. I have a casette of the album, and play the A side occassionally, which is where I got the clue from. Re Travis, thanks for the info, I'll have a look around.

Mr. Scran sir,. .. .This is an interesting one.. .. .Wonderwall Music released in 1968 was the first album, however, it is comprised of the score for the film Wonderwall, and is mostly Indian bands etc that were organised and directed by George, who actually does not perform on the album. So you could say that it doesn’t count as a real “solo” album.. .. .The second album was Electronic Sound in 1969. This is just 2 rather long tracks of electronic synthesiser type stuff that he was experimenting in at the time. . .. .All Things Must Pass, which is one of my favourites, was released in 1970. This is an album of “normal” songs and would probably be regarded as the first “real” solo album.. .. .So, technically, I suppose Electronic Sound should be the correct answer.

That's ok Pigboat, I'm not in it for the glory (strikes tragic pose....sighs heavily....wanders off into glorious tropical sunset.) . .. .Next Tuesday Scran??? Methinks I'll have to get up earlier to compete with all the young bucks and buckettes.

Being mindful of the time difference between you and me Cooda (about 15 years!!!! )I'll delay the post for an hour or so to give a fellow Aussie a fighting chance!!!!!

Thanks for the kind thought Scran but if you're not on daylight saving I'm usually at work about 0830 EST.. .My problem is all those funny little marks that keep appearing in my diary....keeps me from Ppruning they do.. .I'm sure there's a conspiracy here somewhere.. .A shadow organisation, disguised as clients and petitioners and calling themselves the 'Popular Peoples Front for the Liberation from Ppruning' or somesuch. . .Gotta watch out, they're everywhere!!
