Hiya guys, I had a really crap easter, I had to spend it in hospital having my appendix out!
Anyway I am recover(ing/ed) now and need to know how this affects my Class 2 medical? Do I need to see an AME?
Anybody have any experience of this before?

When I had an epigastric hernia repair done as day surgery, I was told by my AME not to fly for 48 hrs following general anaesthetic and to review how I felt following that. Essentially he said if I felt fit to drive without discomfort, then flying should be fine.

If I were you, I'd speak to your consultant who did the surgery and ask the question, then report the situation to your AME and ask whether he needs to see you.
