Hi I'm wondering if there are any avaition medicine specialists on the forum. I have written to the CAA, but they havent got back to me yet.
A few years ago I suffered Henoch-Schönlein purpura. Its gone now, and it damaged my kidneys in the process. So now I average +++ haematuria & +++ proteinuria in a urine dip test.
On the bright side my kidney functions are fine, bp is low. The prognosis is good with only 5% of cases ever going to end-stage renal disease. I'm monitored for kidney function and urinary analysis twice a year. They're considering puting me on medication as a precaution to prevent further kidney deteriation.
So obviously my question is will this affect my chances of a Class 1?
