First thanks to icarus2002 & wimpernel for the links. that helped.

A few more questions about instructing in beautiful australia...

Couldnt find anything on what kind of visa is needed for a foriegn flight instructor (i am canadian) to legally work. <Some guy mentioned it can be done with a student visa...that sounds kinda doubtful.> Any IDEAS??

Also, any good (relatively cheap) flight schools in the Melbourne area where I can (cheaply) convert my Canadian CPL/IFR to Aussie and do a (cheap) flight instructor rating as well??

In general, what part of australia will you find cheaper rates for a/c rentals, & overall lower costs for training? Any schools you know ?

thanks.

For temporary residence, a 457 Business Visa, but you will need to be sponsored by an Australian employer.

I won't dignify your cheap shots with a response, but if price is your priority try the third world. Caveat emptor - you get what you pay for!
