The aviation medical 'bible' for all JAR states is the JAR FCL3 (http://www.jaa.nl/section1/jars/43/52/435247/435247.pdf) document.

[Edited as the location of FCL3 has changed]

http://www.jaa.nl/section1/jars/435247.pdf

Since only Section1 is available on the internet, can someone tell me where I could download a copy of section 2?

Thanks Guys.

Hi,

The 24-plate version of the Ishihara colour test is online at

http://www.kcl.ac.uk/teares/gktvc/vc/lt/colourblindness/cblind.htm

I'm looking for the full 38-plate version but so far no luck.

Dear all,

Can I appeal to people's good nature and ask you to do a quick search on any query you have before put 'pen to paper' and launch a new thread with your question?

The same questions, usually about factual matters, are asked over and over again which can be a bit disheartening for those of us on here that try to be helpful in desiminating the information we have.

Of course everyone is unique and if you the information you find in the search does not answer your question feel free to ask more specifically equally if there are unclarities in the information you have found.

If you don't know how to do a search:

Click here to be taken to the search page (http://www.pprune.org/forums/search.php?s=)

Best of luck, and for those interesting queries: Keem 'm coming!

Thank you for the Ishiara test, a good exercise!
I am looking for the test with the little cookies that we are supposed to read with special glasses: green and red lenses...
I would be very happy to find them....
Thanks

A reminder to posters regarding Class 1 FAA or JAR medicals. Check this thread for collateral or extra information. Another good source of information is the Search function for Medical and Health forum. :ok:

Some sites that may be relevant to aviation medicine and psychiatry...and it doesn't mention DSM IV (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diagnostic_and_Statistical_Manual_of_Mental_Disorders)?

It's a great book, even better than Who's Who as you can look yourself up several times over.

This is a source of information on most prescription medicines and contains details of disease/treatment information. The 'about us' information states the site is for doctors but much of the drug information is in the public domain epgonline.org Home, Medicine and Disease information (http://www.epgonline.org/)

Don't forget the Aerospace Medical Association site at Welcome to the Aerospace Medical Association- Aerospace Medical Association (http://www.asma.org) ; the Journal Online link can take you to some really superb research archives.

Also, the all-new 4th Edition of Introduction to Aerospace Medicine (Stepaniak et al) is now available. I have a copy myself and it's excellent reading! Previous editions are commonly referred to as "DeHart" after the previous editor (now retired).
