Is the industry getting better or worse. Are we on the brink of an industry growth explosion, with Low Cost Carriers popping up everywhere and jobs for all. Or are going through a transition period that will change the industry for the worse. What are your thoughts?

I think that the industry in Australia and SE Asia is in for a very big correction, one that will leave many wandering what just happened. My prediction is that in five years time there will only be three low cost carriers in SE Asia and one in Aus. The survivors will be the ones with the deepest pockets, i.e. ones with affiliation with mainline players or have very big backers.
