JD,. .. .Pigboat gives a good example the post before yours.. .. .I agree re Rita Coolidge (think she had the "first" hit with it!) and with your choice for Emotion - Samantha Sang (way before Destiny's Who!!)

OK I agree about Rita Coolidge and Samantha Sang.. .. .Not paying attention properly with 16... .. .16. Boogie Shoes - KC and the Sunshine Band. .. .Trivia b. could be many things... how about. .. .b. hide it away. You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away - Beatles

Jolly,. .. .Ok, that gives you 9, 16 and 17. While 19 might be a correct option, not the one I'm looking for.. .. .Trivia going well, yes it was Wednesday! For b, that is one answer I had, there is one other obvious one with a country flavour......any takers?

20th Mar 2002, 06:59
Sorry to disappoint you Luca.. .. .Emotion was written by the Bee Gees true, but it was recorded by Samantha Sang and released as a single, with the boys singing background vocals.. .. .So you get two points for the title only, but an A for effort!!!!!

Now listen, scranny. .. .If 19 isn't the Sheena Easton one, then it must be rather obscure, even by your standards. Here's a couple of rather way out possibilities, but I'll be surprised if they're what you're looking for.. .. .Vietnow - Rage Against The Machine . .or. .Turn Off The Radio - Ice Cube. .. .And b. has truckloads of possible other answers. Maybe the other one you referred to is. .. .Ruby Don’t Take Your Love To Town - Kenny Rogers. .. .A few more:. .Hang On To Your Love - Sade. .Share Your Love - Earth, Wind & Fire. .Spread Your Love - Earth, Wind & Fire. .Give Up Your Love - Edith Frost. .Feel Your Love - Alanis Morissette. .. .How are we doing on the totals? I've got a bit lost.

scran
20th Mar 2002, 10:11
Jolly:. .. .No, I didn't think of the Kenny Rogers one I must admit.. .. .The two that came immediately to my mind (tiny as it is!! ) were:. .. .You've Got to Hide You Love Away - Beatles and. .Let Your Love Flow - Bellamy Brothers.. .. .I suppose you could argue that the question is What should you do with your love? with the accent on the YOU, so a number of songs would fit.. .I must admit, with that question, I was expecting a range of answers, and as long as they were along the lines above, I'd have paid them - so you can have the points...(but only 1 point!! Not 1 point for each song title you come up with!! ). .. .Anyway, with respect to 19 - no it's not Sheena....the song in question is by a group, mid to late 70's - had a number of hits, pretty much an easy listening type group. One of the guys had a brother who was well known musically!!! Does that help!!!

That question was a bit like b last week - the one about Bill Haley and Hospital - no real answer, and might point out who (if anyone- not finger pointing here )is using a search engine and who is wracking their brains like poor old Cooda - no disrespect meant there Mate!! . .. .So, all we need is 19....... . . . . [ 21 March 2002, 03:15: Message edited by: scran ]
