When is Flinders Island going to get another RPT turbo prop operator ?

Airlines of TAS, operates two Titans and an old Navaho. They seem to be getting good loads. I've heard a few rumours floating around that they may be looking at getting a turbo prop, anyone else know anything ?

Depends Hotpot on who wants to go broke next. The original Airlines of Tasmania operated turbo props into Flinders back in the early 90's.

Turbo props cost real dollars to operate, and on a short run like Flinders - Launceston, cost more to operate due to cycle life etc. This in turn means a increase in fares which normally the islanders wont pay unless they cant get a cheap seat on a VFR charter to Bridport.

They (the islanders) remind me of the politicans catch phase "promises, promises, promises"!
