Can you post the specs of the computer, including the operating system?

As long as it has a USB port, it should be fine as this is most consumer level cameras connect to the computer.

The camera itself couldn't care less about what kind of computer you have, but the software you use to manipulate the pictures does.

Your best bet is to use the forum search facility with the key words 'digital camera'; there's been a lot of posts on the subject. To get you started and to give you a flavour of whats there, take a look at these topics...

Incidentally, you operating system IS important - if you are using Windows NT you'll have a problem, because NT does not support USB.

Good luck!

SPIT,

You should not have a problem using a digital camera with your computer. If you are running low on USB Ports, you can always get a USB Hub, which is the easy way to add additional USB Ports to your computer. ;)

Take Care,

Richard

SPIT I recently upgraded my system from windows 98Se to XP.

My "old" system coped fine with my Canon Ixus V3. I had two USB ports on my pc as well but purchased one of those cheap splitters (takes one slot and gives you 4 back) from ebuyer which was less than £10 or so. The camera worked fine being cabled into either the splitter or directly into the back of the pc.

Best of luck.

Be careful usin the USB hub's though, especially if you have a reasonably low spec machine as you can run out of bandwidth in USB if you have too many devices attatched.
