Meantime......Greenwich......

In Harare last night, flights were turned back to their points of departure because no runway lighting was available. I thought standby electrical generators were called for at all inernational airports, according to ICAO. But I guess if you're in a pariah shamocracy you are so ****-hot you can land in the deepest duckness that Africa can produce??

Say Bob, spare us a BOB or two for a candle?:}

They werent' off for very long. The AZW flight from JNB tuned back, then not even 5 minutes later was back on track for Harare. The DHL Vans weren't as brave, they came all the way back to JNB, and only departed for harare again at 3 in the am so as to guarentee light on arrival.
