I just went for my first ECG.

Age 35.
Caucasian Male.

The ECG print out reads:

Vent rate: 47 BPM
PR int: 144 ms
QRS Dur: 98 ms
QT/QTc: 414/378 ms
P-QRS-T axes: 64 89 66

Sinus Bradycardia
RSR (QR) in V1/V2 consistent with right ventricular conduction delay.
Borderline ECG

The Doc says the "rabbit ears" on the graph indicating the Vent. Cond. Delay are "very common" and the FAA won't have any problem accepting it. Nothing to worry about.

I got a short lecture about how the sinus node sends electrical signals to the heart muscle but I didn't ask many questions...Doc was very busy you know...

Any thoughts from the medical types?

P.S. Family history of hypertenstion and heart disease on father's side.

Thanks.

In the UK this is known as right bundle branch block which is often a normal variant. If your doctor says don't sweat it, then don't sweat it.

Now if you had LEFT bundle branch block that would be a different story.
