I've been offered a Toshiba 1G Z2 laptop, with Windows XP installed for £500.

Can anyone give me any guidance as to whether this is a good offer.

Its from a company getting rid as they have folded, thanks all.

Para,
I bought a Toshiba Laptop direct from Toshiba, a couple of weeks ago. It is a Satellite A10. 2.5Ghz 30GbHDD.
With VAT and postage it was a few pounds under £600.

I know its about £100 more than the one you've been offered, but it's a resonable spec, and it has a one year warranty.

I suggest not, paracab. For that spec - £200-250. No warranty, no licence for the OS or other software?

No way.
