Just heard from a source on IOM that BACX are advertising vacancies internally for anyone with a Commercial Licence.

Apparently they are short of Dash pilots.

CitiExpress were apparently measuring up the ex BA hangar at MAN on Tuesday!!

Maybe they will be advertising for engineers soon too.:hmm:

Were there not rumours about the DHC8 leaving BACX's fleet? If the DHC8 stays and they do need DHC8 crews, what will happen with those crews if eventually they decide to phase out the DHC8 anyway. Are there enough openings on the jet fleet?

I spoke to someone in HR at BACX this week who said that BACX are recruiting a small number of pilots, but said that they will "come from the pool" first.

Does "the pool" mean internal people???

Yes. Pool normally refers to people that have already passed selection and are waiting to be given positions.

Shame you had to name your source on here, not always a good idea to put a name to where you got your info from even if it is correct .

Heard from someone (not the same person) that it will be towards the end of the year.

I understand that if and when they start recruiting that it will be via an 'on-line application form'

I wonder if it will be just a question of time before BA start recruiting type rated pilots.

Sometime in the next 6 months or so?
