My wife and I had the opportunity to visit the Italian Air Force Museum this past Sunday, and it is impressive.

It is located within three large hangars containing approximately 35-45 aircraft. The oldest is probably a Wright Flyer, and the newest probably an F-104.

A special treat was seeing a Spitfire and a P-51.

It is located on Lake Bracciano (Lago Bracciano) on the site of a very old Italian AF seaplane base, less than 30 minutes drive north of Rome.

I highly recommend a visit there. If anyone needs directions feel free to contact me.

It is called MUSEO STORICO, at Vigna di Valle, Lago Bracciano.
