I'm assuming you have a UK CPL/IR ?

Send it to the CAA with £75 and the correct form, correctly completed. They will then issue you with a JAR license.

Oh, by the way. Be aware that once you do this you will loose the embedded imc privileges that you have with your UK license. Do you really need to do it ? I have a UK CPL and see no reason to change it.

How does one convert an ICAO (South African) CPL to JAR CPL? Can you go straight to ATPL subjects or do you need to do CPL subjects first, and ATPL subjects subsequently?

Checks,

I did just that the other week. I now have a national and JAA licence. Furthermore, the IMC privaleges are included in the JAA one. Surprised me too!

Oh, and the fee is £180.

Checks, Yes I have an ATPL but correct me if I am wrong, but to work in Europe do you not need a JAA Licence?
