Aviation out of the Stone age

Please, we need healthy debate on bringing aviation out of the stone age. That is the new diesel engined aircraft, computerised engine control, glass cockpits and composite construction.

Lets not kill healthy debate because a few negative people have vested interests in keeping us in the dark.

After all as pilots, the more informed we are, the safer we are.

aviation is already out of the stone age, just have a look! in other places other than GA. i can fly MY aircraft, at 100Kts, for over 4 hrs, on a 40 Hp engine, and be safe in the knowledge that it is strong, tested to +12G! and have a glide ratio of 14:1

all for the cost of a small korean car! and run it at lest than the cost of a maccas meal per hour!
