My grade 1 M/E instructor rating lapsed around 4 yrs ago and I would like to renew it.

There are no schools in Darwin (home) to my knowledge that are able to assist.

I would prefer to renew it in a C150/2 don't really care if I renew the multi engine part at this stage.

A little info on what would be required would be appreciated.

Also need an idea of time and possible accommodation for that period. Any location in Aus is OK.

Cheers

question, if you renew your expired instructor rating on a single engine, does your multe approval get renewed,, i thought it did..

not sure tho

Yes it does because M/E part of it is a training approval on an instructor rating, and it is the instructor rating that requires renewing.

So yeah, renewing the rating in a S/E will also cover the M/E aspect.

Hey,

Give John Chesterfield a call at Coolangatta on 0407243856. He's forgotten more than most people know about instructing, and he's very practical. :)

Agree with Turbantime.

The rules state (stated?) that for m/e approval the skills must have been demonstrated. They don't refer to any particular period nor a validity time limitation (other than the underlying instructor rating).
