Have to say my favourite a/c to work on was the DC10 hard work but a great aircraft, am now all airbus fleet hate the a330 (maybe its an MYT thing as ours was not designed crew friendly), quite like the a320. The DC10 was also the first a/c I trained on..

I think there's a lot to be said for loving your first a/c
Mine was a B767 and it was definitely my baby
since then I've worked on:
A320,
A321,
A340
B737 - 200, 300
B767 - 300 ER
B747-400
B777

I've enjoyed the differences between them
but strangely I can remember more about the 767 than my current a/c!!!
Maybe it's just that you remember your first training course.

- Hi - I started out with the Viscount 8 and then the DC9 (fabulous a/c) - since then I have hit the heady heights of the GA a/c - GV, C601 and I cant say more than I LOVE them the best.....(dont have so many pax on ).
Have done the 737/A319 and B707 - but the bizjets are my babies!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe I am really shallow and love the idea of the thump and the money behind them!!!!!!! (dont ask me about the thump)....

B727
A320/a321
A300b4/600

My favourite is the 767-200 - simple 4 corner service, huge back galley, toilets and water fountains in the middle and not too long for walking up and down.

I think I have replied to a similar thread twice already :)
My first aircraft was a B757, but I don't have any fond memory of it :\
I worked on B737(200,300,500) B757, B767(300), B777(200),B747 (200,300,400), A318,A319,A320,A321,A330 A340.
I find the Airbus more CC friendly but the 777 is a delight too. What finally makes the real difference is the kind of gizmos the company actually wants to put into it, like the entertainment system, seats and galleys. They are not all the same, every company choses its own, except when a company leases or buys a "ready made"one.
That's why my fav are the last ones on the fleet, with the latest available gizmos (like a more performant entertainement system and Cabin Management System), in our case B777, A330 and A318.
Ah, I forgot: The 767 and 757 didn't have a proper horizontal crew rest, just a row of seats, so maybe that is why I have a marked preference for the ones that have it ;)

Hi Guys!

I would have to say that my fave aircraft to work on is the Airbus A320 and A321! I am not working on them anymore, but they were so crew friendly with huge galleys and the FAP, AAP, AIP and those easy to open doors!!

My least fave was the Bae 146-100 series as it was so so small! I know there are smaller aircraft but it was too tiny for me!

I started my flying career with bmi regional (then British Midland Commuter) on the Saab 340 and Fokker 70/100.

I used to hate working the Saab 340, it was always a sweaty plane, in cramped conditions trying to provide a composed and dignified Diamond Class service was always hard. The worst was always the EMA/JER, which involved full cabin service on a one hour flight then having to turn the cabin on your own, all with pretty lousy ventilation and a baking cabin!

I used to love the Fokkers though. Lovely and quiet aircraft at the front with a reasonably sized cabin, aisles and galley when you consider the size of the aircraft. Easy to work and extremely comfortable for both the crews and the pax. Shame not only do they not come to EMA anymore, but bmi will be replacing them this summer.

Now I'm on the 737-300/737-500. I don't really like them. Too cramped, noisy & frankly dirty!

I hope to either get some A320 family over here at baby (never going to happen!) or move to an airline with the 320s because I hear they're like heaven to work after working the 737.

I have worked on quite a few from the horrible and cramped Embraer 145 where my head used to press on the ceiling to the huge and spacious 747-400. Used to love working from the upper deck galley as it felt like you had your own seperate aircraft.
My absolute fav though has to be the A340. Huge galleys and the nices crew rest area perfecly placed so that it was quiet and smooth. Got the best sleep there compared to the 747 where it was at the back and you got thown around loads. Only thing i didnt like was that you had to cancel the call bells at the seat meaning you had to answer them .........eventually.;)

First was the 767 but consider myself so very lucky to crew on the queen of the skies, the 727.

What a beauty, industrial deafness down the back, whisper quiet up the front and when you sat forward of the ventral stairs looking up the cabin, you could see it flex on take off.

They dont make them like that anymore
