News has it that the preserved BEA Trident G-AWZK has been found a new home at the Manchester Airport Airpark with Conc G-BOAC plus the last production RJ100 and the remains of a Monarch DC10 nose.
Funding to dismantle, transport (by road)and reassemble AWZK has been sourced including a substantial amount by BAA, a pay off to get rid of the aircraft which is allegedly taking up "valuable" space on the LHR airport.
The howler is that they have NOT disclosed when the transportation will happen so thay barrages of enthusiasts will not clog the roads.
They certainly know how to prevent the enthusiasts, cranks, spotters, anoraks from getting anywhere near anything fundamentally imporant, remember Concorde?
So, anyone able to spill the beans when we might expect to see ZK moved out by low loader?
FYI Conc G-BOAA I am advised currently resides in a LHR Tech Block hangar, tailfin and seats removed in readiness for her final journey to Scotland, also T.B.A .....
