Currently hold an Aussi frozen ATPL. Was wondering if anyone could help me with how to convert to a UK or JAA frozen ATPL??

Also, whats the employment scene like over there at the moment as far as regionals like Aurigny go??

Cheers

Decide if you are going to do the theory distance learning or in full time study. If you can, study distance learning as 6+ months in the UK with no income is pretty expensive.
Medical. Must be done at Gatwick. You're looking at around 200 quid.
Do the theory and the exams. Theory ~2-3000 Quid.
Exams. 14 of them ~800 quid.
Flying. You can do some of it in the US but I am not familiar with it.
So, you'd need to do at least 15 min hour IR conversion. I think some CPL work needs to be added too. Note, the CAA exam fees need to be added here. I think they are about 600 quid. The licence will cost ~200 quid or so.

This should get you a CPL/IR with ATPL subjects aka the "frozen ATPL".
Budget also for an MCC and add approx 20-30% for over runs and exam resits.

It does take a long time and you'll need to keep a healthy sense of humour about. You'll need it. Trust me on that one :ok:

Aurigny? I am not sure how they are going recruiting wise, look at ppjn (http://www.ppjn.com) for info regarding the recruiting scene in Europe.
