Can someone with a set of publications handy please advise what the hour requirements are for the ATPL Helicopters.

From memory it's 1000 hours TT, can't remember what the night, PIC etc component requirements are.

Anyone?

As I have the CASA bumph book for youngest still here:

1500 hrs logged. No break-down given for ATPL-H, but for ATPL-A it is:

21 years old
RT licence
English
ATPL theory passes this would be for ATPL-H in this case
MECIR
1500 hrs flight time
750 in aeroplanes
250 PIC, 100 may be as PICUS
200 hrs cross country, 100 as PIC
75 hrs instruments
100 night.

Air Transport (Helicopter) Licence - Checklist (http://www.casa.gov.au/manuals/regulate/fcl/form748.pdf)
CAR 5.181 - Aeronautical experience: minimum requirements (http://scaleplus.law.gov.au/html/pastereg/0/51/0/PR004060.htm)
CAR 5.182 Aeronautical experience: calculation of flight time (http://scaleplus.law.gov.au/html/pastereg/0/51/0/PR004070.htm)

Basically....... 1500 hours total flight time, including 750 hours in a helicopter, of which 450 hours are PIC. That's it. No ME-CIR, no night. Jeez you chopper drivers have it easy :D

Thanks guys.

Yes, it sure seems easy going compared to our fixed wing brethren.

I am surprised that there is no night component.

Cheers... T.B
