Hi All,

i recently got my eyes tested because i struggle reading especially nightime in light thats not that good.I had two pairs of glasses made whilst on holiday and saved a fortune and im really pleased with them.
Q. My class 1 has lapsed recently and im going to do it soon, whats the position regarding these glasses. The optician mentioned 1.5.Will this have any bearing on my medical.
Distance is no problem and never has been thankfully, ive reached 45 and i think this is the norm is,nt it?

My circumstances are similar to yours. The newly acquired specs help when I'm tired or if the light is bad, but I'm not yet relying on them. Absolutely the norm at this age. 1.5 sounds like the correction factor (can't remember the technical terms), and if it is, it's fairly mild. I'm around about the same figure. Renewed my Class 1 last week and the AME didn't put them on the certificate, but suggested that they would appear at next renewal in six months.
