I noticed in a few old threads (Gold Air UK) a mention of Wyvern Aviation Consulting inspections or audits, can anyone tell me what this means to an operation that is not covered by existing regulations and oversight ? Has anyone out their got first hand knowledge or been audited by him ? HB

A Wyvern audit is supposedly the "standard"!

Believe that and you believe anything. I walked into a "respected" European JAR ops qualified organisation a few weeks back who had been audited by the "holy" Wyvern only weeks before! The Wyvern clean bill of health was the holy grail. A piece of paper from Wyvern was revered like no other.

This organisation were found wanting in so many areas it was / is criminal.

Many firms are now turning their back on the Wyvern standard....and so they should.

There are so few firms offering a quality audit, this allows Wyvern to issue a clean bill of health beacuse many organisations are willing to pay for it.

Yes I am a little cross.....with good reason, Wyvern must be on borrowed time.

LGW Vulture makes a very good point there, I've heard very similar stories. Also, who audits Wyvern?
