Way, way back in 1977 I spent six weeks at a course at Boeing and we were put up in the Roosevelt Hotel, not very posh but very central, reasonably comfortable and a great breakfast!

Just wondering if it still exists? Has it been refurbished? What would be a reasonable alternative, centrally etc.?

Any advice from people who are up to date much appreciated. Thanks.

An older hotel near the convention center and the shopping district, the Roosevelt has an elegant lobby with a grand piano, a fireplace, a Chinese lacquered screen, and walls of windows -- a great place to relax and watch the foot traffic outside. Smallish rooms are furnished with period reproductions upholstered in mellow pinks and greens. Thanks to the insulated windows you can enjoy city views without hearing street noise. Some bathrooms have their original tile work, but there isn't much counter space. www.westcoasthotels.com. 138 rooms, 13 suites.
